A Maryland Licensed Master Electrician, Luke began his career in overhead and underground utility construction and progressed through increasingly senior roles, ultimately overseeing large-scale transmission and distribution operations, safety and quality programs, training and apprenticeship initiatives, and business development. During his career with AUI, Inc., he coordinated workforces of more than 70 employees across major utility projects and served as a subject matter expert in aerial utility construction and field operations.
Luke has also led the development of comprehensive safety and training programs covering OSHA compliance, pole-top and vault rescue, rigging competency, first aid and CPR, and journeyman development. His approach combines field experience with a strong focus on developing skilled workers, improving operational performance, and matching people with the right opportunities.
As the founder and leader of Utilitrain, Luke has applied that experience to building a career-training institution focused on preparing the next generation of utility professionals. He oversees the school's strategic direction, operations, partnerships, workforce development, and community and industry outreach, with a particular emphasis on providing students with the skills, safety knowledge, and practical experience needed to succeed in the utility industry.
